I'm Nawal El Daou, an Arabic language professional working across translation, subtitling, localization and Arabic tutoring. I have over a decade of experience in translation, proofreading and localization. I currently work in media localization with Deluxe, contributing subtitling, proofreading and content editing to Asharq News, where clarity and cultural relevance for Gulf audiences are part of every deadline.
Alongside that, I work as a freelance translator and as an Arabic tutor, including with 3arabian, teaching learners of different backgrounds, levels and goals. Translating and teaching feed each other: years of adapting content for real audiences make me a clearer teacher; years of explaining how Arabic actually works make me a more precise translator.
